As a Senior Maritime Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of vessels. This role involves allocating tasks to crew members and ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with safety protocols.

About the Position

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Maritime Operations Manager. As one of the most senior roles onboard, this position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

The successful candidate will support the development of operational plans, undertake watchkeeping duties as required, and be responsible for managing all aspects of vessel operations. They will also supervise and train crew members engaged in various duties, enforce safety regulations, and ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of maintenance and repair needs for vessels, and provide guidance and support to junior officers. Additionally, they will be capable of managing deck department requirements and contributing to a culture of high ethical standards, a safe and healthy workplace, and respect for the environment.

Requirements:

  • At least 12 months documented qualifying seagoing service in charge of navigation watch
  • MSIC Card (required or ability to obtain)
  • Working Safely at Heights (required or ability to obtain)
  • Enter and Work in a Confined Workspace certification (required or ability to obtain)
  • Current AMSA Medical (required or ability to obtain)
