Compassionate Rehabilitation Support

We are dedicated to empowering individuals who are blind or partially sighted to live independently and confidently.

A highly organized and compassionate individual will work closely with certified specialists to provide training and support to clients in areas such as independent living, orientation and mobility, and low vision aids.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation of rehabilitation plans/programs under the direction of certified specialists.
  • Provide input into the planning, implementation, modification, and evaluation of treatment plans.
  • Assist clients in developing adaptive skills for independent living.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment progress and report observations to specialists.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Post-secondary education and/or experience in a related field (e.g., Occupational or Physical Therapy Assistant program, Social Work).
  • Previous experience working with individuals who are blind or partially sighted or a combined loss of hearing and sight.
  • Excellent navigation skills and ability to adapt to changing situations.
