Overview

The Company, an esteemed state government department in New South Wales, is renowned for its pivotal role in managing programs across the state. With a focus on engaging with both community and government stakeholders, this organisation plays a vital part in shaping the future of NSW.

In response to shifting priorities, this highly regarded entity seeks an experienced Project Manager to coordinate critical governance activities essential for finalising a key business case for a significant program of work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in coordinating governance activities, developing presentations to support program updates, taking and distributing meeting minutes, scheduling meetings, and supporting the Program Manager with day-to-day tasks.

About the Role

This contract position offers an immediate start and will run until 20 December 2024, with no extension available. Reporting into the Program Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the program. Your key duties will include:

  • Coordinating governance activities for the Program
  • Developing presentations to support program updates and stakeholder engagement
  • Taking and distributing minutes for key meetings
  • Scheduling and setting up meetings related to the program
  • Supporting the Program Manager with day-to-day tasks

Your Background

To succeed in this role, you must possess experience in project management and coordination. A strong understanding of business cases, particularly in the context of engineering development, is essential. Additionally, you should have skills in high-level presentations, briefing notes, agendas, and governance forum minutes. Experience in coordinating activities and Ministerial-level presentations is also desirable. The successful candidate will be quick to absorb project details and direct team actions effectively.
