About the Role

The NSW Government seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Government Official to join the Presidential Unit of the Personal Injury Commission.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a judicial officer or Australian lawyer with 7 years' standing and superior knowledge in workers compensation and police officer support schemes.

The successful candidate will have the ability to make informed decisions, provide guidance, and work collaboratively with the Presidential Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Heard appeals against decisions made by members in the Workers Compensation and Police Officer Support Scheme Divisions.
  • Act as President during any absence of the President from duty.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Special/superior knowledge, skill or expertise in relation to any class of matter in respect of which the Commission has jurisdiction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong understanding of the NSW justice system.
