Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

Clinical nurse specialists play a crucial role in perinatal and infant mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:- Clinical Care: Provide case management and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for women from their second trimester until their baby reaches 12 months, ensuring comprehensive support during this critical period of mental health and emotional wellbeing.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Work independently while contributing to a cohesive, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Service Improvement: Drive best practices in perinatal mental health through education, consultation, and quality improvement initiatives, fostering innovation and excellence in care delivery.

Requirements:- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA is required.
- At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, including at least 3 years in the specialty field, plus approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field (or equivalent experience deemed appropriate).
- Expert clinical advice and leadership within a defined specialty are essential for developing care plans that cater to patients' complex health needs.
- Contribution to strategic and operational planning within a clinical service, as well as supporting specialty-related education programs and research integration into practice, is highly valued.
- A valid Australian C-Class driver's license, including P1 or P2, is also necessary.
