Job Overview

The University seeks a seasoned leader to head the Student Services domain, driving strategic direction and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for fostering a student-centered approach, promoting innovation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Student Services pillar, aligning its goals with the Education Portfolio's objectives and promoting a high-performance culture focused on student success.
  • Exercise delegated authority to make significant autonomous decisions, ensuring alignment across internal and external policies and practices.
  • Oversee a broad range of Registrar functions, consulting with the Academic Registrar as needed.
  • Lead optimization of business processes for quality, efficiency, and student satisfaction, ensuring effective resolution of issues and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with higher education regulations, standards, and governance frameworks, conducting internal audits and reviews as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners, representing the Academic Registrar in committees and working groups.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Student team, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee financial management within the work area, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial sustainability.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and well-being, ensuring adherence to workplace health and safety policies.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and activities relevant to the role's key accountabilities.

  • Excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes.
