ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health and Safety Coordinator to enhance our Retail Operations and People & Culture Teams. Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager and collaborating closely with the Health and Safety Business Partner, the Health and Safety Coordinator will deliver comprehensive administrative support to the Health and Safety Team, ensuring that all health and safety protocols and procedures are consistently maintained across our retail outlets, support office, and distribution centers. This part-time role is based at our Support Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer all WorkCover claims, ensuring timely submission and management of compensation payments to team members.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety Business Partner to facilitate payroll calculations.
  • Oversee the validity of Certificates of Capacity and Return to Work (RTW) Plans in line with medical advice and recovery progress.
  • Prepare and submit RTW Plans to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the Health and Safety email correspondence, ensuring effective triage of incoming communications.
  • Support the administration of First Aid within the Support Office, including regular checks and stock management of First Aid Kits.
  • Process pending incidents and escalate issues as necessary.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong administrative capabilities with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Completion of RTW Coordinator Training Course is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for promoting occupational health and safety practices.
  • A willingness to learn and a positive, proactive attitude.
