ABOUT THE POSITION
Are you prepared to take on your next professional challenge? We are seeking a motivated Health and Safety Coordinator to become a vital part of our Retail Operations and People & Culture Teams. Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager and collaborating closely with the Health and Safety Business Partner, the Health and Safety Coordinator will deliver comprehensive administrative support to the Health and Safety Team, ensuring that all health and safety protocols and procedures are maintained across our retail outlets, support office, and distribution centers. This is a part-time role based at our Support Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of all WorkCover claims, ensuring timely submission and processing of compensation payments to team members.
- Collaborate with the Health and Safety Business Partner to oversee payroll calculations.
- Ensure the validity of Certificates of Capacity and Return to Work Plans in line with medical advice and recovery progress.
- Prepare and submit Return to Work Plans to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage the Health and Safety email inbox, monitoring incoming correspondence and triaging as necessary.
- Support the administration of First Aid in the Support Office, including regular checks of First Aid Kits, stock management, and reordering supplies.
- Process pending incidents and escalate issues as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong administrative capabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Completion of a Return to Work Coordinator Training Course is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for promoting occupational health and safety practices.
- A willingness to learn and a positive, proactive attitude.
