Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our VIC/SA/TAS Regional Safety Advisory Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development, implementation, and oversight of our safety strategies across the Qantas Group.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the development, implementation, and oversight of our Qantas safety strategy, including system, framework, policies, and procedures.
- Enhance assurance and incident activities, providing safety data and analytical support, and coordinating risk management processes and record keeping.
- Partner with our safety advisors to ensure regulatory compliance and delivery of a proactive safety culture across the Qantas team.
- Diploma or Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a Safety Coordination position, ideally within an operational environment.
- Sound understanding and application of WHS legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction from others.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data.
- Ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to show initiative and flexibility.
- A positive, results-focused disposition, with a willingness to take on challenges.
