Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HSE programs in Vic/Tas, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and alignment with business strategic goals.
  • Provide expert advice on all aspects of workplace health, safety, and environment across the regions.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of HSE management policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide regional leaders with detailed reports on HSE performance and trends.
  • Implement risk assessments and controls to ensure robust governance.
  • Collaborate on safety aspects of plant/process modifications.
  • Support HR, HSE coordinators and sites with incident management and return-to-work procedures.
  • Oversee regional HSE event response and reporting.
  • Support with incident investigations and audits to enhance safety controls.
  • Identify and address HSE training needs.
  • Provide high-quality advisory support and deliverables aligned with regional HSE and business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Degree or relevant experience in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in automotive, manufacturing/production, retail, or service sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Victorian and Tasmanian safety laws and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to positively influence others.
  • Working knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation.
