Advanced Mental Health Leadership Role

This pivotal leadership position within our Older Person's Mental Health team seeks an experienced and passionate senior clinician to provide advanced clinical expertise, coordination, and leadership in delivering high-quality mental health services to older adults (65+ or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 50+) experiencing complex mental health issues.

The role supports recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally safe care across community, residential, and inpatient settings, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based assessment and treatment within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to ensure the effective delivery of strengths-focused, recovery-oriented assessment and treatment.
  • Carry a clinical caseload commensurate with the needs of the service.
Requirements:
  • Hold relevant qualifications as an Occupational Therapist registered with AHPRA or a qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Describe your approach to assessing and managing mental health conditions in older adults, particularly those with cognitive impairment or dementia.
  • Explain your strategy for supporting and supervising junior clinicians within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on older people's mental health.
  • A valid Australian C-Class driver's license is required.
