As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist IR advice and support to our business units, ensuring compliance with federal employment legislation and case law.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on industrial relations principles and frameworks, ensuring accurate interpretation and application of legislation and employment law.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform problem-solving, analysis, and review of complex employment issues.
- Develop and implement employment policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with University values and objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and improve employment and workplace policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Manage competing demands and solve complex problems, ensuring timely and effective resolution of employment-related issues.
Requirements
- Knowledge of federal employment legislation, case law, and ability to accurately interpret and apply legislation and employment law.
- Experience working with industrial relations principles and frameworks.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
