Key Role: Project Pursuits Leader

About the Job:

This is a pivotal position within our Proposals & Estimation organization, where you will be responsible for spearheading key sales opportunities from bid-no bid approval to order booking. As a Bid Leader, you will require strong leadership and management skills to ensure seamless development of estimates, proposals, and prices in alignment with Sales, Operations, and Supporting Functions.

Responsibilities:

  • You will lead P&E efforts on key sales opportunities, including coordination and proposal development across all aspects.
  • You will identify team members who will work on the opportunity.
  • You will support Sales Leaders/General Managers to assess the opportunity and create a bidding strategy.
  • You will assign work to team members, review their assignments, and ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates prepared by themselves or other P&E estimators.
  • You will support Supply Chain to select proper subcontractors and vendors.
  • You will create and maintain bid plans, review and update action rails, coordinate follow-up calls, assign actions, and support completion in due time.
  • You will review, challenge, and approve final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation approval.
  • You will support Project Teams to create project delivery plans, including labor histograms, project schedules, and WBS, sometimes drafting those personally.
  • You may be open to supporting bid teams virtually or face-to-face, traveling to different locations if needed, and creating full team focus sessions to close the offer/bid.
  • You will review value propositions to ensure the best solution is offered to customers while aligning with our Strategy (BTI, NPI, first-party content initiatives).
  • You will support/preparing proposal documentation, ensuring quality and completeness.
  • You are responsible for creation/collection of approvals documents and support on review calls with upper management.
  • You will participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy, and presentations meetings with our management and customers.
  • You may be co-responsible for closing the sale with Sales Leaders.
  • You will coordinate post-tender clarifications with customers and proper technical workshops.
  • You will provide assistance in negotiation meetings.
  • You will follow best practices and processes as per P&E function and your direction indication.
  • You will perform additional assignments as per your direction indication.

Qualifications:

  • You must have a university degree.
  • You should have minimum five years of bid management or project management experience.
  • You should be working with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • You should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Project and project management methodology.
  • You should have comprehensive understanding and experience of the bid management process and best practices.
  • You should have technical knowledge of all or part of our core systems, such as BMS, HVAC, Security, Fire, and EVAC.
  • You should have excellent organization, management, and communication skills.
  • You should have excellent leadership attitude.
  • You should have high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • You should have demonstrated success working effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • You should have proven ability to work on multiple projects/opportunities at one time.

  • You have depth of knowledge of our customers' businesses and drivers.
  • You know internal sales process and systems to drive consistent business results.
  • You have experience balancing short-term results with long-term strategy.
  • Preference for candidates located in districts they will be supporting.
  • You are a member of Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).
