About the Role

This new role provides key support for our rehabilitation portfolio, focused on approvals and environmental aspects of rehabilitation and closure planning at Port Waratah, including the closure of two former licenced waste facilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the preparation of environmental impact assessments and approvals for both State and Federal Approvals requirements
  • Developing and implementing stakeholder management plans in line with our engagement strategy to support approvals, closure planning, and execution
  • Building and maintaining a network of relationships and resources
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on constraints and opportunities
  • Assisting in developing and reviewing project risks
  • Selecting and managing consultants for environmental approvals and rehabilitation projects
  • Assisting the Senior Project Manager in budgeting, scheduling, and scope

Key Skills and Qualifications

We seek individuals with relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science/Management, or a degree in another discipline combined with approvals experience. Required skills include coordination of environmental planning and approval studies, regulator and stakeholder engagement, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, and experience in closure, rehabilitation, contaminated land, or licensed waste management facilities is highly desirable.
