The Role

We are seeking a skilled individual to provide key support for our rehabilitation portfolio, focusing on approvals and environmental aspects of rehabilitation and closure planning at Port Waratah. This includes the closure of two former licenced waste facilities. Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of environmental impact assessments and approvals for State and Federal Approvals requirements
  • Development and implementation of stakeholder management plans aligned with our engagement strategy
  • Establishment and maintenance of a network of relationships and resources
  • Collaboration with stakeholders on constraints and opportunities
  • Assistance in developing and reviewing project risks
  • Selection and management of consultants for environmental approvals and rehabilitation projects
  • Assistance to the Senior Project Manager in budgeting, scheduling, and scope

Requirements

A minimum of relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science/Management, or a degree in another discipline combined with approvals experience is required. Preferred skills include coordination of environmental planning and approval studies, regulator and stakeholder engagement, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, and experience in closure, rehabilitation, contaminated land, or licensed waste management facilities.
