We are seeking a Sustainability Closure Planner to join our team at Port Waratah Coal Services, a world-leading logistics and material handling facility.

This role will focus on approvals and environmental aspects of closure planning, providing key support for our rehabilitation portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading environmental impact assessments and approvals for State and Federal requirements
  • Developing stakeholder management plans to support approvals, closure planning, and execution
  • Fostering relationships with stakeholders and resources
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on constraints and opportunities
  • Assisting in developing and reviewing project risks
  • Selecting and managing consultants for environmental approvals and rehabilitation projects
  • Supporting the Senior Project Manager in budgeting, scheduling, and scope

Required Skills:

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science/ Management, or a degree combined with Approvals experience
  • Proven experience in coordinating environmental planning and approval studies, including regulator and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including written and presentation skills
  • Desirable: Experience in closure, rehabilitation, contaminated land, or licensed waste management facilities
