Independent Living Specialist

As a Home Companion, you will foster meaningful relationships with residents and create an environment that encourages independence and personal identity. The rhythm of the day is defined by residents, allowing no two days to be the same.
Residents have the autonomy to choose how they live, spend their time, and undertake activities like meals or showering, supported by Home Companions as needed. All meals are cooked fresh within each house by residents and Home Companions.
Home Companions are self-managing and empowered, encouraging villagers to undertake daily living tasks and assisting and supporting them as required.
Collaboration with our Health and Wellness Team and Dementia Support Consultant ensures high-quality care and enables villagers to live their best life.
Requirements:- Our ideal candidate holds a Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care/Community Services.
- Experience working with aged people living with dementia or experience working with aged people or NDIS clients within their own homes is highly valued.
- A willingness to learn about various forms of dementia and support household residents is essential.
- We offer a competitive remuneration package up to $34.32 PH + SP + Shift & Penalty Allowances.
- Our salary packaging options include up to $15,900 Tax Free, plus $2,650 Meals & Entertainment Card.
- 17.5% annual leave loading applies.
