Independent Living Manager- Taree & Forster Region

Lead with Purpose. Inspire Change. Create Impact.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Independent Living Manager to mentor our vibrant teams across the Taree and Forster region, shape the future and strengthen our supported independent living (SIL) leadership group.

At Brighter Access, we believe in opening doors and enhancing lives. Our mission is to empower people living with disability by supporting choice, opportunity, inclusion, and independence—both at home and in the broader community. With a strong foundation already in place, we're committed to sustaining excellence and continuing to deliver high-quality, person-centred services.

This role is more than a management position—it's an opportunity to lead with heart, inspire a dedicated team, and make a lasting difference.

About the Role

As the Independent Living Manager, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across our supported independent living programs. You will mentor a dynamic team, foster a culture of integrity, inclusion, and continuous learning, and be instrumental in creating pathways to growth, meaningful engagement, and greater independence for the people we support.

As a key member of the leadership team, you'll champion person-centred practice, build trusted relationships with participants and their families, and ensure service delivery meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.

We value the unique strengths our leaders bring. This role can be tailored to reflect your expertise—whether in positive behaviour support, mental health, physical disability care, rehabilitation-focused programs, or operational service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the delivery of person-centred supports in both community and home-based settings

Mentor, develop, and inspire staff to achieve excellence

Drive service quality, innovation, and continuous improvement

Build strong, respectful relationships with participants, families, and key stakeholders

Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and regulatory frameworks

Oversee rosters, workforce planning, and resource allocation to meet participant needs

Manage incidents and reporting processes in line with policy and legislative requirements

Promote Brighter Access services, support participant transitions, and drive business development initiatives

Lead and contribute to key projects that enhance service outcomes

About You

We're looking for a values-driven leader who is:

Experienced in disability or community services, particularly within SIL and/or community access

Committed to empowering individuals and creating inclusive environments

Knowledgeable in NDIS frameworks, compliance, and best practice approaches

A strong communicator and problem-solver with a collaborative mindset

Passionate about people, purpose, and building stronger communities

Why Join Us?

Be part of a supportive and innovative leadership team that values your voice

Grow your career with opportunities for professional development

Enjoy a flexible, person-first workplace culture

Make a genuine difference—every single day

Ready to Lead with Purpose?

If you're passionate about building inclusive communities and supporting people to live their best lives, we'd love to hear from you.
