A Key Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Contracting Manager to join our dynamic organisation.

The role will be accountable for developing commercial models and contracting strategies that optimise the value of Origin's supply portfolio, providing strategic advice and leading commercial support for responses to government and private sector tenders/funding opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop commercial models and contracting strategies that maximise revenue and minimise costs.
  • Provide strategic advice and lead commercial support for responses to government and private sector tenders/funding opportunities.
  • Manage internal and external legal counsel, and other corporate stakeholders such as Tax, Insurance, and Treasury to deliver fit-for-purpose contracts that meet approved sourcing strategies and project deadlines.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in the energy industry or related industry.
  • Post-Graduate degree in Business, Commerce, Law, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or similar analytical discipline.
  • Signedificant experience in leading technically and commercially complex, high-value contract negotiations at senior levels.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of development and construction within Australian energy markets.
  • Experience with a wide range of commercial models, execution strategies, and forms of contract.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong influencing skills.
