Senior Commercial Strategy Analyst Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic finance team and play a key role in shaping the organisation's strategic direction. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

About the Role

The Senior Commercial Strategy Analyst will be responsible for delivering high-impact financial and strategic analysis, supporting investment decisions and identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency. They will work closely with senior leadership, finance and operations teams to provide insights that inform the company's strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the annual strategy refresh process, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and market dynamics.
  • Conduct environmental scans, competitor benchmarking and internal performance reviews to inform strategic priorities.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable business plans, including timelines, resource requirements and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with business units to ensure alignment between strategy and operational execution.
  • Monitor progress against strategic initiatives and escalate risks or barriers to execution.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and performance scorecards to track progress against strategic and financial goals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • A degree in Finance or related field (CA/CPA desirable).
  • 5+ years' experience in commercial strategy, financial analysis or consulting.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills with strong financial modelling capability.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex insights.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and project management skills.
