HDR Liaison Officer: Enriching Academic Experience

This dynamic and rewarding role as a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Liaison Officer plays a pivotal part in shaping the experience of HDR candidates at The University of Queensland. You will provide expert advice and support to HDR candidates, fostering their progression and development.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as a primary point of contact for HDR candidates, offering proactive guidance on candidature progression and development.
- Collaborate with Directors of HDR to monitor candidate progress, identify changing needs, and implement suitable support measures.
- Facilitate the administration of HDR admissions, scholarship nominations, and orientation activities for new candidates.
- Work closely with the HDR Liaison Team Leader to promote and coordinate engagement and development opportunities for HDR candidates, enhancing their research training and cohort experience.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in administration and excellent interpersonal skills. Key qualifications include:
- A relevant undergraduate degree and at least 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in an administrative role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, building productive relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- A high level of computer literacy, with demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and systems.

Benefits- An estimated salary range of $78,944 - $87,750 per year, plus 17% superannuation contributions.
