Higher Degree Liaison Specialist

As a Higher Degree Liaison Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the experience of Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates at The University of Queensland. In this dynamic and rewarding position, you will provide expert advice and support to HDR candidates, fostering their progression and development. Working closely with colleagues, Advisors, and Directors of HDR, you will ensure candidates receive tailored guidance to navigate their academic journey and achieve research success.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for HDR candidates, providing proactive support and guidance on candidature progression and development.
- Collaborate with Directors of HDR to monitor candidate progress, identify changing needs, and implement appropriate support measures.
- Facilitate the administration of HDR admissions, scholarship nominations, and orientation activities for new candidates.
- Work with the HDR Liaison Team Leader to promote and coordinate engagement and development opportunities for HDR candidates, enhancing their research training and cohort experience.
