Job Overview:

We're seeking a skilled Perimeter Security Specialist to join our team at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. As a key member of Group Security, you'll play a vital role in protecting our digital perimeter and ensuring the security of millions of customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage tools that protect our perimeter, staying up-to-date on edge security, API protection, and external attack surface management.
  • Respond to cyber security incidents, containing and resolving threats while bringing your foundational incident response skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement defences that align with business goals, focusing on perimeter defence improvements.
  • Contribute to monitoring and reducing our exposure to external threats through proactive control uplift initiatives.
  • Work closely with engineering, project management, and business analysis teams to ensure security needs are aligned with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • A strong foundation in cyber security, preferably with experience in perimeter, edge, API, and attack surface management security concepts.

  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement, eager to enhance and optimize security defences.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
