Job Overview

Our company seeks an experienced Payroll Officer to execute weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay runs accurately and on time.

  • The successful candidate will work closely with a Business Unit to develop understanding of roles, awards, and pay complexities.
  • They will be responsible for analysing and auditing all payrolls, ensuring legislative and award compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll processing including off-cycle pay runs
  2. Developing a thorough understanding of the organisation's payroll systems, processes and procedures
  3. Partnering with the Business Unit to resolve payroll-related issues
  4. Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all payroll payments
  5. Providing exceptional customer service to employees and stakeholders
  6. Analysing and reporting payroll data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2+ years proven experience as a Payroll Officer within a medium to large sized organisation
  • Strong experience in EA / Modern Award interpretation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate Excel and Outlook experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
