Disability Support Career Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team. As a Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
- Provide transportation assistance to clients.
- Provide respite care to clients and their families.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
- Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
