Job Title

The Head of Special Education Services is a senior leadership role that oversees the delivery of special education services to students with disability. The successful applicant will be based at Collinsville State High School and will service schools in the Townsville region.

  • Promote an inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure equity and excellence for students with disability.
  • Develop and support a high quality of teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance to related legislation and policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing curriculum leadership in special education, leading to quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Developing and sustaining productive relationships within and beyond the school community.
  • Contributing to educational outcomes at the school level using analytical skills.
  • Effectively managing human, financial and physical resources to deliver high quality organisational outcomes.
  • Maintaining an organisational culture based on ethical professional and personal behaviours and corporate values.
