An exciting opportunity exists for a seasoned Payroll Manager to take charge of our payroll operations. The Payroll Manager will oversee and manage payroll processes, including superannuation, payroll tax remittances, and government reporting, while preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll statements. Ensuring compliance with governmental regulations, the Payroll Manager will establish and implement policies regarding payroll advancements and oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of payroll personnel. Additionally, this role entails managing existing outsourced services, meeting agreed service level agreements (SLAs), and driving continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Based in our headquarters, the primary responsibilities will include:

Leading the Payroll and Managed Service team to ensure efficient end-to-end delivery of payroll services. Managing the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely preparation, calculation, and disbursement of salaries, deductions, and payroll taxes. Ensuring payroll processes comply with federal and state employment standards and legislation. Fostering effective working relationships across the organization, focusing on communication, early identification of service issues, escalation management, and process enhancement. Implementing risk and quality control measures for payroll transactions and administration, including audits to ensure payroll accuracy. Enhancing self-service options and automation to improve employee experience and payroll function efficiency. Continuously reviewing processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation to optimize service delivery. Overseeing the implementation of the Ramco solution to meet future payroll and timekeeping requirements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

Extensive experience in a transformative payroll management role. In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll, superannuation, and tax legislation. Proven experience in building new payroll service teams. Experience managing both onshore and offshore teams. A pragmatic approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to develop and maintain client relationships. Strong influencing, negotiation, and organizational process promotion skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional telephone manner and the ability to provide accurate advice. Demonstrated experience in process improvement design and implementation.
