Schemes and Facilities Lead

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the growth and profitability of our schemes and facilities portfolio by underwriting new and renewal scheme business, developing relationships with brokers, and executing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Financial Lines business across Professional Indemnity, Management Liability, and Cyber products for schemes and facilities.
  • Mentor and train direct report underwriters on new and renewal business in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Develop a pipeline of target delegated underwriting authority arrangements and monitor progress against strategic objectives.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new delegated underwriting authority arrangements.
  • Assist in implementing Commercial Strategies for Financial Lines.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of underwriting guidelines, registers, and records for management reporting purposes.
  • Embed improvements into current delegated authority arrangements with brokers.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record demonstrating strong sales skills and a deep understanding of the brokerage market.
  • Analytical skills for managing broker profitability.
  • A collaborative approach and excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective time management, scheduling, multitasking, strategic planning, and goal setting.
  • Mentoring and uplifting skills for guiding others to grow and reach their potential.
  • Insurance qualifications (ANZIIF Senior Associate or equivalent) and financial lines experience are highly regarded.
