Risk Management

Supporting the development of a proactive Health and Safety culture, assisting in hazard identification, assessment, and control, and leading health and safety risk management projects.

WHS Culture

Driving a strong WHS culture within GYG, collaborating closely with operational teams to enhance safety awareness and promote best practices.

WHS Policy & Procedures

Maintaining and reviewing WHS policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with business operations and fostering a safe working environment.

Consultancy and Expert Advice

Providing guidance to departments on corrective actions, offering expert advice on HS issues, and collaborating with leadership on system improvements.

Incident Reporting & Issue Management

Ensuring timely incident reporting, leading investigations for significant incidents, and analysing data to implement effective responses and corrective actions.

Quality Systems/Auditing and Compliance

Coordinating annual audits, verifying compliance with SafeGYG standards, and supporting departments in addressing audit findings.

Consultation

Facilitating effective consultation processes, disseminating H&S information, and maintaining documentation accessible to stakeholders.

Compliance

Upholding GYG compliance standards through completion of mandatory training and continuous improvement initiatives.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in WHS management
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and best practice
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and implement effective safety initiatives
  • Minimum Cert IV in Work Health and Safety
