Business Development Strategist
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth, aligning with organizational objectives and collaborating with key partners and teams.
- Work closely and collaboratively with industry leaders, clients, and stakeholders to connect people across the organization and deliver priority outcomes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the industry, maintaining presence and deep understanding of key matters, deals, stakeholders, influencers, competitor landscape, client footprint, and market position.
- Coach partners and teams on strategic business development advice and best practices.
- Lead pitches and collaborate with colleagues to apply industry insights to bids where they are the SME.
- Drive client conversations to ensure client intelligence is maintained, relationships are nurtured, and service excellence is upheld.
- Identify opportunities across business units, priority areas, clients, and geographies, and support the formation of cross-functional teams to pursue opportunities and strengthen pipelines.
- Qualify and be responsible for the development of high-quality client-facing materials and precedents with compelling value propositions.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to validate, design, and deliver client and market engagement strategies, prioritizing industry objectives through the delivery of integrated campaigns.
- Establish internal and external networks, creating strong connectivity in a matrix structure, and demonstrating leadership qualities by setting standards for best BD practice, sharing insights, being a powerful collaborator and mentor, and representing the team with gravitas and understanding.
About You

- A minimum of 7+ years' experience in business development, or equivalent work experience, with a proven ability in strategic planning and client account management.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills with high attention to detail.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach, nurturing relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
- Ability to manage competing tasks in a fast-paced environment working within tight timeframes.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
- Commercially focused approach with strong analytical and planning skills.
