Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in 3D modelling and scripting for planning, as well as excellent communication skills.

This role plays a critical part in supporting the development of City Planning's 3D Digital Urban Twin and various projects related to local government infrastructure plans.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of LGIP future growth scenarios, including urban growth modelling, mapping, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain LGIP future growth scenarios using urban growth modelling, mapping, and analysis techniques.
  • Contribute to the development of City Planning's Urban Twin, including City Engine rule development and GIS integration.
  • Participate in key projects related to the use of Strategic Infrastructure's PUG model, including draft land use planning and other related planning scenarios.
  • Use sound corporate project methodology to assist with various projects.
  • Create, review, and make expert recommendations for multiple scenarios to support strategic planning and project proposals.
  • Simulate scenarios within 3D environments to inform decision-making.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into 3D planning solutions.
  • Ensure 3D plans comply with city standards, safety regulations, and design guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Architecture, or equivalent experience/knowledge.
  • Experience in 3D modelling and scripting for planning.
  • Ideal experience in infrastructure or land use planning in the development industry or local and/or state government.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster good relationships as part of a high-performing team.
  • Ability to prioritise problems, think laterally, gather and analyse information to identify symptoms and causes, and engage the right people to reach better outcomes.
  • Naturally innovative and willing to strive for improvement in the use of technology solutions.
