Are you a Commercial Contracts Lawyer seeking a challenging role with an ASX-listed leader in financial services?

As a key member of a collegiate, high-performing team, you will report to the General Counsel and partner closely with the business to provide pragmatic legal advice across a breadth of legal issues.

You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial agreements, including customer and supplier contracts, as well as working with the bid and new business teams on tenders and negotiation of contracts.

Key responsibilities include contract lifecycle management, advising on disputes when they arise, and assisting the General Counsel on governance, compliance, and risk-related responsibilities, including policy development and regulatory obligations under the Corporations Act, FSR, and privacy regimes.

To succeed in this role, you will need 3–6 years PQE with relevant legal experience in private practice and/or in-house, excellent drafting, reviewing, and negotiating skills, and the ability to provide independent, commercially relevant legal advice.

You should also have experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple jurisdictions, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and a strategic thinker with excellent judgment and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

Requirements
  • 3–6 years PQE with relevant legal experience in private practice and/or in-house.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
  • Experience with FSR and privacy legislation beneficial.
  • Ability to provide independent, commercially relevant legal advice.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple jurisdictions.
