About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Water Resources Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to leverage your expertise in water resources engineering to drive innovative solutions and deliver exceptional results.
About the JobThis role involves leading technical delivery on various projects across water resources, including flood risk management, stormwater design, and sustainable stormwater systems. You will be responsible for coordinating project teams, managing client relationships, and providing technical guidance on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using TUFLOW.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of creeks, rivers, stormwater systems, and overland flow paths.
- Lead or contribute to flood studies and flood risk management study and plans (FRMS&P).
- Provide technical input into flood risk management projects and prepare concise and clear technical reports.
- Design water management systems that interface both surface and pipe networks.
- Prioritize tasks and multi-task to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related discipline.
- Between 8-20 years of experience in water resources engineering, specifically floodplain management.
- Experience leading or contributing to flood studies and flood risk management study and plans (FRMS&P).
- Strong knowledge of TUFLOW 1D/2D modeling.
