We are seeking a talented Senior Fraud Intelligence Specialist to join our team at Westpac in Australia.

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $120,000-$180,000 AUD, depending on experience.

About the Role

This senior position involves designing and implementing rules and machine learning models to detect and mitigate fraudulent activity using Westpac products. Key responsibilities include analyzing data to support fraud detection, identifying emerging trends, and improving the fraud detection system.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in statistics, data science, or a related field, along with excellent mathematics and problem-solving skills. Experience with SQL/Python/R programming languages is also essential. Additionally, strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with the fraud intelligence team to mitigate risks using creativity, critical thinking, and mathematical knowledge are highly valued.
