About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager to join our team, focusing on integrated management services in the waste industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business growth and developing strategic partnerships within the waste management sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies for innovative waste treatment solutions, aligning with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver bespoke solutions for each customer, meeting their sustainability needs.
  • Engage in tender and bid processes for the business unit, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Understand and fulfill obligations of service delivery agreements/contracts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the waste industry, specifically in integrated management services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and clients, building trust and credibility.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create customized solutions for clients, meeting their unique needs and expectations.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and business development goals, contributing to the company's growth and success.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent professional experience in business development, with a focus on sustainability and waste management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Tender and proposal full life cycle experience, with a strong understanding of the waste management industry.
  • National account experience across Australia, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Understanding of integrated management services across waste management practices or similar, with a focus on sustainability and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Genuine business engagement and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and clients.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering results and meeting customer needs.
