
Strategic Healthcare Initiatives Manager

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale, complex health programs that yield measurable impact on patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and clinical safety.
This role requires strong leadership skills, as you will be responsible for structuring, managing, and delivering a portfolio of programs aligned to health strategy and key organisational priorities. You will translate strategic assessments and pain points into actionable roadmaps, establish robust governance frameworks, and ensure all projects are delivered to the highest standards.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, including project managers and subject matter experts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. A key focus will be stakeholder engagement—working closely with clinicians, administrators, executives, and external partners to build trust and ensure seamless adoption of initiatives across the health sector.
This role also requires oversight of resources, program dependencies, and benefits realisation, with a strong emphasis on risk management. You will tailor complex technical and clinical information into concise updates for executives, boards, and policymakers, driving informed decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Program & Project Management Expertise – PRINCE2 certification (highly desirable), with strong knowledge of Agile, MSP, and PMBOK methodologies, and experience managing significant transformation programs.
- Health Sector Knowledge – Deep understanding of healthcare systems, clinical workflows, health informatics, and digital health transformation, including compliance and privacy standards.
- Leadership & People Management – Proven ability to lead project managers and multidisciplinary teams, ideally in healthcare or government settings.
- Governance & Strategic Delivery – Experience designing governance frameworks, managing risks, and ensuring value delivery through benefits realisation.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Ability to influence and engage diverse health stakeholders to achieve program outcomes.
- Change & Adoption Expertise – Experience leading cultural change, clinician engagement, and training to ensure successful adoption of solutions.
