Senior Strategic Initiatives Manager About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Strategic Initiatives Manager to lead and manage key project initiatives. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in developing strategies and tools to coordinate progress reporting on whole-of-government implementation of the Royal Commission's recommendations.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of project and program management methodologies
  • Knowledge of disaster management and fire and emergency services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A high level of analytical and problem-solving skills
Your Key Accountabilities

You will be responsible for leading and managing the implementation of strategies and plans to support delivery of the Queensland Government Response to the Royal Commission. This includes:

  • Coordinating and planning associated tasks
  • Providing regular progress status reports
  • Ensuring quality outcomes and project deliverables are achieved
  • Providing high-level advice to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Researching, analysing, interpreting and solving problems and issues to support project implementation
