Project Manager - Strategic Initiatives

The role of Project Manager - Strategic Initiatives is a key position within the AOD Strategy and Partnerships Unit.

This officer will lead and manage specified projects, liaising with stakeholders to achieve timely and quality project outcomes.

  • Leading and managing projects in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies
  • Liaising and consulting with internal and external stakeholders to develop partnerships
  • Providing advice and guidance to stakeholders and senior management on project implementation
  • Preparing high-level briefing documents, submissions, correspondence, and reports
  • Establishing and maintaining networks with internal and external stakeholders

To be successful, you will have demonstrated:

  • Ability to manage system-wide and state-wide projects with tight deadlines and deliverables
  • High-level strategic, conceptual, and analytical skills
  • High-level negotiation and verbal communication skills
  • High-level policy, planning, and project management skills
  • A strong understanding of the alcohol and other drug treatment service system
