Job Title: Senior Operations Manager

UGL is seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead our Utilities Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities in Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring operational excellence, and leading a team of dedicated professionals in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Strategy:
    • Develop and implement business plans to drive growth and achieve financial targets in Queensland.
    • Foster a high-performance culture, promoting teamwork and professional development.
  2. Operations Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of power generation, transmission lines, substations, electrical distribution networks, and water treatment facilities.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
  3. Project Management:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of utility projects in Queensland.
    • Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  4. Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
    • Address client needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  5. Financial Management:
    • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
    • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years' experience in utility operations and maintenance.
  3. Proven track record of leadership in a similar role, managing large teams and complex projects.
  4. Strong understanding of power transmission & distribution.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  7. Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
