About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Facilities to play a vital role in setting the strategic direction of the function while facilitating the delivery of the overall workplace strategy to meet Transurban's current and future needs.

This role is primarily responsible for the Australian operations, providing functional guidance to the North American operation, influencing a global standard wherever possible.

As part of an innovative team, you will contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies for the Facilities Management Services function, working closely with the team to implement business-as-usual and longer-term processes and strategies.
  • Lead, develop, and coach a highly capable team to roll out BAU and longer-term processes and strategies.
  • Identify areas to streamline and automate business processes, partnering with the technology team to leverage our technologies and ensure seamless experiences for our users.
  • Represent the facilities function across the business, establishing best practice standards for Facilities and driving change throughout the organization.
  • Ensure safety is always the top priority, providing safe, clean, and operational facilities that meet local laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar Senior Facilities Management role, ideally across multiple sites within a corporate environment.
  • Experience in overseeing a complex portfolio across a mix of owned and leased buildings, facilities management, consolidation projects, and contract management.
  • Solid knowledge of various codes and HSE regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and remain calm in a crisis, with a willingness to get involved to resolve issues.
  • Mentorship and leadership skills, with the ability to lead by example and influence those around you.
