We are currently seeking a B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer who is nearing licensing or possesses a Part 66 license without type ratings, and is eager to gain certification on DHC 8 classic aircraft. A type rating will be provided to the successful candidate.

Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Uphold safety as a fundamental principle and actively engage in achieving a Zero Harm environment through participation in all relevant safety initiatives.
  • Execute the responsibilities of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
  • Ensure that all maintenance tasks are performed in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance manuals, Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE), and applicable procedures.
  • Maintain the overall condition and cleanliness of the hangar and workshop facilities.
  • Adhere to the Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS) and Workplace Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS) policies.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Senior Base Engineer or Head of Maintenance.
  • Manage personal tools and equipment utilized in maintenance tasks.
  • Report any defects identified during maintenance activities to the certifying engineer.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be an Australian citizen.
  • Willingness to relocate if not currently residing in the area.
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proven capability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated skills in time management and organization.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in both line and heavy maintenance.
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Mechanical.
  • Experience with Dash 8 aircraft.
  • Training in confined spaces.
  • Current First Aid certification.
  • Forklift operating license.
