**About the Role**
This position joins the Darwin engineering team as a B1 LAME reporting to the Senior Base Engineers, for the completion of assigned aircraft maintenance tasks.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Safety First**: Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero-harm and incident/injury-free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position.
- **Licensed Aircraft Maintenance**: Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
- **Maintenance Documentation**: Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation, and certification are carried out and completed in line with the Maintenance Operations Manual (MOE), procedures manuals, and responsible Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) requirements.
- **Scheduled Maintenance**: Plan, distribute, and oversee scheduled maintenance.
- **Shift Handovers**: Perform, implement, and maintain any required shift/task handovers.
- **Supervision**: Supervise maintenance personnel and support apprentices when required.
- **Certification**: Ensure all maintenance certified is carried out in accordance with maintenance data.
- **Complex Maintenance**: Ensure Complex Maintenance Tasks are certified by an authorized Certifying Employee.
- **Maintenance Records**: Ensure maintenance and associated maintenance records are completed and certified correctly by an authorized Certifying Employee prior to Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) issue.
- **Critical Maintenance**: Ensure Critical Maintenance Tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS.
- **Maintenance Compliance**: Ensure maintenance is completed, certified, or deferred in line with the MOE prior to CRS issue.
- **Hangar and Workshop Maintenance**: Responsible for the general condition and upkeep of the hangar and workshop.
- **Compliance**: Compliance to the Flight Risk Management System (FRMS) and Workplace Health and Safety Management System (WHSMSM) policies and procedures.
- **Additional Duties**: Perform any other duties as directed by the Senior Base Engineer.
**Qualifications**
**Essential Criteria**
- Experienced LAME B1 or dual licensed.
- Heavy and Line maintenance experience.
- Relocation assistance offered if not a local resident.
- DHC8 Classic Type Rating offered if not currently rated.
**Desirable Criteria**
- Dash 8 Classic Rating.
- Confined Space training.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Forklift license.
