Our organization is recognized for managing the largest civil maritime surveillance initiative globally, along with a robust search-and-rescue capability that spans a significant portion of the earth's surface in collaboration with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.

We are currently seeking a B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer who is nearing licensing or possesses a Part 66 license without type ratings, and is eager to gain type certification on DHC 8 classic aircraft. A type rating will be provided to the successful candidate.

Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Uphold safety as a fundamental principle and actively engage in achieving a Zero Harm environment through participation in all relevant safety initiatives.
  • Execute the responsibilities of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with the Aircraft Maintenance manuals, MOE, procedural guidelines, and applicable CAMO standards.
  • Maintain the overall condition and cleanliness of the hangar and workshop facilities.
  • Adhere to the FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the SBE/HoM.
  • Manage personal tool control and the equipment utilized in maintenance activities.
  • Report any defects identified during maintenance to the certifying engineer.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
  • Willingness to relocate if not currently residing in the designated area.
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proven capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Demonstrated skills in time management and organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in both line and heavy maintenance.
  • Cert IV in Aeroskills – Mechanical.
  • Familiarity with Dash 8 aircraft.
  • Training in confined spaces.
  • Current first aid certification.
  • Forklift operation license.
