Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures to join our team in Darwin, NT. As a key member of our Maintenance Function, you will be responsible for undertaking aviation maintenance activities to meet the needs of Airbus Australia Pacific and their customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute maintenance within the bounds of the authority level delegated by the relevant Responsible Manager.
  • Conduct maintenance in accordance with the relevant regulations, Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and all other maintenance procedures as laid out within authorised AAP procedures, relevant aircraft maintenance manuals, and Defence documentation.
  • Perform ARH Deeper Maintenance activities, including Off-aircraft maintenance and supporting operational units in Industry-specific tasks, such as advanced structure repairs, aircraft, and component modifications.

Requirements

  • Diploma Aeroskills (Structures) or equivalent issued by a Registered Training Organisation.
  • High-Level aviation airworthiness regulatory knowledge and its applicability in the relevant environment.
  • Understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices.
  • Experience in an Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience using Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP).
  • Have obtained, in the judgement of the relevant Responsible Manager and the Company, sufficient experience on type to support a successful application for maintenance task authorisation at the appropriate level.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and experience using CAMM2.
  • Knowledge and experience in complex composite repairs, including Carbon Composites.
  • Defence ARH Type rating Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence B1.3 with Structures inclusion.

Security Clearance

You must be eligible for an Australian Government Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment medical screening, which may include drug and alcohol testing.
