The Opportunity

Talent International is supporting a transformative marketplace that enables people with disability to access benefits and increase community engagement.

As an APS 5 Internal Review Case Officer, you will be part of a national, virtual team managing a pipeline of Participant-driven plans & complaints reviews in Richmond. The role is based on a 12-month initial term contract paying $55.24 per hour + Super.

**Your Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with participants to gather information about review requests, inform them about decisions, reviews, and the appeals process.
  • Making evidence-based decisions as prescribed in the NDIS Act, NDIS rules, Operational Guidelines, and NDIA policies.
  • Monitoring and managing caseloads to ensure internal reviews are completed within set timeframes.
  • Contribute to quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery practice, processes, and systems.

**About You:** To succeed in this role, you should have the ability to develop short-term plans and objectives, contribute to strategic planning for longer-term initiatives. Experience supporting people with disability, carers, and family members is essential. You should be able to manage a high-volume caseload, possess excellent analytical skills, and work in a team dealing with complex information.

You must be able to assess complex information within legal and operating process guidelines to make fair and auditable decisions. Effective communication of outcomes both written and verbally is crucial. Additionally, you should have strong documentation skills in a CRM or similar system and experience with MS Office suite. As this is a government position, you must be an Australian Citizen.
