
Rates Information Coordinator

As a Rates Administration Officer, you will maintain the rates name and address register and Centrelink pensioner database ensuring payments are allocated correctly and changes to customer details are current.
Located within the Finance Group, the Rates team are a small and dedicated team who manage complex and confidential rates information to ensure payment from our residents and businesses are allocated correctly.
You will be required to work in collaboration with the Rates team to deliver quality service to our customers and produce certificates under s603 of the Local Government Act 1993.
The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance or experience in the Accounting/Finance field. You will also need to possess exceptional customer service skills and high level interpersonal skills.
Additionally, you will need to be able to work as part of a team, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
Other essential criteria include excellent data entry skills and demonstrated ability to use word processing and spreadsheeting software.
Desirable skills and qualifications include local government experience, local government rating experience, and experience in the use of Technology One software.
