The role of Senior Health and Safety Manager is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for leading the delivery of workplace health and safety initiatives across diverse operational environments.
As a senior advisory role, you will provide expert guidance, drive continuous improvement in safety systems, and manage a team of professionals in high-risk, field-based settings.
- Lead and manage a regional health and safety team, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and legislative requirements.
- Investigate incidents and hazards, producing reports as needed.
- Provide high-level health and safety advice to operational and senior management.
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions, oversee training registers, and audit/inspect facilities.
- Manage compliance for internal staff and external contractors.
- Develop safety management plans, risk assessments, and related systems.
- Report on health and safety KPIs and support staff rehabilitation efforts.
- Proven experience in health and safety, ideally within construction or government sectors.
- Strong understanding of relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and best practices.
- Ability to manage teams, mentor staff, and influence positive safety outcomes.
- Relevant qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety.
