This role plays a crucial part in the continuous monitoring and assessment of the health, safety and wellbeing management system to ensure that employees are safe and supported.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

- Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of team members under their supervision. This includes ensuring they are aware of and adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
- Oversee the functionality of the health, safety and wellbeing management system, including documentation development aligned with ISO45001 and 45003 standards
- Lead the strategic development, implementation and delivery of health, safety and wellbeing strategies, systems, policies and procedures that drive transformational change, mitigate risks and enhance employee confidence, capability and capacity.
- Manage multidisciplinary consultancy services and provide strategic, tactical and operational advice encompassing safe work practices, injury prevention, rehabilitation, complex case management and early intervention programs
- Implement and manage workplace health and safety governance arrangements and performance frameworks that provide strategic analysis and reporting on injuries, WorkCover, relevant people data, accreditation and audit processes that set benchmarks for excellence in safety.
- Provide high-level analysis and specialist advice to senior executives and people leaders to inform best practice approaches for managing employee health conditions, complex claims, early intervention, rehabilitation practices and goal-focused return-to-work programs.
- Lead the assessment of critical health, safety and wellbeing risks to identify effective and sustainable controls to associated hazards, including review and monitoring of these controls
- Be suitably qualified to be appointed as Workplace Health and Safety Officer and undertake operational health and safety activities to proactively manage workplace health and safety on behalf of the organization as the PCBU.
- Collaborate with Health and Safety Representatives and People Leaders to strengthen their knowledge and skills and align organizational priorities including cultural safety for all staff.
