Health and Safety Senior Leader

This is a senior leadership position that oversees the health, safety, wellbeing and environment functions across our national organisation.
The successful candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in HSE roles, with minimum of 5 in senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all health, safety, wellbeing and environment functions across the organisation
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, including legislation, national and international standards and codes of practice
- Ensure we maintain the highest possible health and safety accreditations
- Develop and implement best practice wellbeing initiatives and support the business to ensure such initiatives align with and deliver on strategic plans
- Manage a programme of health and safety audits, that includes scheduled and 'unscheduled' audits, across sites reviewing against the requirements of legislation, company guidelines and safety management plans
- Develop and implement environmental strategies, policies, practices and action plans to ensure corporate sustainable development
- Build strong working relationships with all key stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and employees and drive step change in dnata catering & retail's performance
Requirements:
- At least 15 years of experience in HSE roles, with minimum of 5 in senior leadership
- WHS - Formal qualifications are essential
- Ability to lead and mentor a group of HSE professionals based around Australia
- Demonstrated working knowledge of occupational health and safety management and an understanding of the underlying principles
- Well-developed report writing and research skills
- Demonstrated skills and achievements in project management
- Experience in working with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Displays business and industry acumen understanding
- Competent in documentation and records management using the MS Office Suite
- Strong communication and influencing skills

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and make recommendations for improvement
