Sustainability Relations Manager

About the Role
This role will oversee the implementation and coordination of our supplier engagement program, serving as a key point of contact for internal contract owners and suppliers in meeting Coles' environmental objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mentoring and leading a team to drive sustainability performance across our suppliers
- Driving communication between suppliers, contract owners, and industry bodies
- Identifying and driving opportunities for Coles suppliers to support the sustainability objectives of Coles
- Overseeing the delivery of supplier engagement communication and event activities
- Being a subject matter expert in relation to Coles' supplier-related environmental targets
- Overseeing project reporting and budgets
About You and Your Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Minimum 8 years' experience working with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and consultants in a corporate environment
- Project management experience of complex programs of work
- Previous experience managing direct reports
- Excellent communications and engagement skills
- Some understanding of climate change, emissions reductions, and related sustainability impacts is preferred but not essential
